- Lawrence Smith Review added: 2018.09.30★ ★ ★ ★ ☆I train in the gym in the adjoining building to the older 1960s? main clubhouse. The club is home to a hockey, bowls and cricket club. The new astroturf (relaid 2017) hosts the hockey and some evening football (floodlight). The club house has the changing rooms and bar. There is a separate function room and bar with a kitchen. We use the kitchen when we have powerlifting events and the cricket club teas. Yes the clubhouse is showing its age but it is a popular sports club and we raised the money to re-laid the astroturf. This has attracted and retained fees so maybe we can work on the clubhouse next. The gym has increased its space by a third to a half.
